An earthquake, 7.9 in magnitude, devastated Peru in mid August, 2007. The death toll, at last count, was 450 with more expected. (To read the full story, click HERE.) While the survivors are picking up the pieces of what is left of their lives and family, the Red Cross is there to help. The people of Peru lost everything within a matter of minutes. Could you imagine, everything you’ve worked for, gone within minutes?
More recently, Hurricane Dean hit several islands, including Jamaica. Dean ripped off roofs, tore through buildings, and pulled out trees and telephone poles.
