Inspire The Child

Inspiration is the spark that leads to change. Our goal is to help create a true home for orphans, not just an orphanage. Our home will support an environment where children are loved and inspired and enabled to live out their dreams for a better future.

Our goal for ITC will be to help provide supplemental enrichment programs to support the girls social and educational needs. This will include a library space equipped with books, computer with internet access and foreign language tutorials. This facility will prepare the girls for a brighter future and support their re-introduction to society. The home will also provide counseling and medical attention, and teach them the skills that will empower them to be a strong and independent new generation of women.

Inspire the Child – Kenya: In April of 2010, MFFO’s role evolved from Educational Sponsors to full financial supporters to Saint Monica Children’s Home. We now support the financial aspects of running the day to day aspects of the orphanage itself. Our goal is to help Saint Monica’s create a fully functional, self sustaining home. In 2011, 20 acres of land was purchased by the Saint Monica’s Foundation, with the goal to break ground in late 2012.

The 35 girls at Saint Monica’s range from ages 5-18.  Our youngest started Kindergarten in 2012 and our eldest just started her first year of University in the Fall of 2011. We are so very proud of each and every one of them.  It has been a journey for each and everyone involved with Inspire the Child. The amazing thing is, we at MFFO have been inspired by the girls to work harder everyday for their future.

You can “meet” all the girls at Saint Monica’s on “The Girls” page.
